Celebrating for 18th anniversary of the launch the Saudi satellite 1C SO-50
The Saudi Amateur Radio Society (SARS) in coordination with the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) and the Communication and Information Technology Commission (CITC) celebrates the 18th anniversary of the launch of the Saudi satellite 1C SO-50 in December 2002.
Saudi satellite 1C SO-50 is still working to this moment, breaking all expectations due to the quality of the technology made with it and how it works. A HZ18SAT call signal has been established.
SARS has allocated prizes for the participating stations by calling via the Saudi satellite according to the following conditions:
1- Start 17 Dec 2020 00:00 UTC – End 27 Dec 2020 23:59 UTC
2- The connection is on the Saudi satellite SO-50 only.
3- The connection to the station HZ18SAT is calculated 2 points once.
4- QSO between two stations gets 2 points for the Grid Locator once.
5- Taking into consideration not to violate the international regulations and conditions for satellite communication for radio amateurs.
6- Log submitted via email to SO-50@SARS.SA
7- Last date for receiving the log 2020/12/31 23:59 UTC , No Duplicate
